Frequently Asked Questions

Oorilewa Products
  1. Why are there 2 types of Gentle Oori Soap for morning and evening?

It is because the types of impurities surfaced on your skin are different in the morning and evening. In the day, our skin is exposed to pollution, pore-clogging debris, chemicals from your makeup etc and by evening time, the amount of impurities would have mount up. Thus you need to use the evening soap as it contains Ghassoul, - a natural clay that absorb all impurities easily.

Whereas the morning soap is milder, this can effectively help to remove excess oil that are formed during sleep without aggravating the skin and cause the production of more oil.

  2. Do I need to rinse my face with a facial wash before using Oori Soap Moonlight?

It depends. If you have very thick makeup on, use your facial wash to remove the first layer of impurities. Subsequently, use the Oori soap after your facial wash as this will help to remove any remaining makeup or any unnecessary chemicals from the facial wash.

  3. I think Natural Oori Veil is too rich and oily to be used during the summer.

This is a common question from our users. Before using Oori veil, you have to consider a couple of factors. Sebum secretion is more than usual during the 1-2 weeks of premenstrual and causes the skin to have excess oil. At the same time, the sebum secretion will increase as we reach 30 years of age. In other words, even those with normal skin, it is only a matter of time your oily glands will produce excess oil. Also, by trying to keep your skin dry constantly will only result in the increase of the secretion of sebum.

Thus, we recommend that you use just a tint of balm to create a thin protective veil as it has healing properties and will not cause your skin to secrete more sebum. If you still feel that it’s too oily, use a piece of tissue to gently dab away any excess balm.

  4. Recently, I’m having problems with wrinkles and black spot. Any advice?

While dry skin is not a direct cause of wrinkles, it can make the skin appear to be aged. This is simply because of the complexion of the skin when it is dry. Thus it is important not to wash your face too hard as it will reduce your skin elasticity, resulting incomplete skin cell regeneration, rough skin texture and may develop dark pigmentation. Here’s how you should wash your face - take the Oori soap in your palms, make a thick lather in circular motion and gently massage your face with the lather. Make sure you rinse away all traces of soap completely, with lukewarm water. Dry your face by gently dabbing your face with a dry towel.

  5. I’m suffering from acne problem on my jaw line.

Acne develops due to many reasons like stress, hormone imbalance or during the 1-2 weeks of premenstrual. To prevent further aggravation, use our Oori soap that is both mild and less stimulating. Make sure you remove the soap thoroughly from your face as remaining residue will cause acne to develop. After washing, apply a tint of serum and balm as a protecting veil.
